Over twenty years ago my wonderful mother showed me how to make a sugar rose. Over the years I continued a self taught journey learning to make more and more sugar flowers. I then discovered the joy of working with cold porcelain, a type of air dry polymer clay. It had so many advantages over sugar, mainly in that it doesn’t break! It can be rolled incredibly thin and the petals and leaves look very realistic. Almost all the flowers on this website are cold porcelain.
My flowers are used in many different designs. Flowers sprays for cakes, bouquets for vases. Flower crowns, jewellery and gifts. All my work is handcrafted, I do not buy any of my blooms in .
Other mediums I work with are paper, sugar and wafer paper.
